Soul Soil Collective
What does it mean to protect each other's rest?
Our Soul Nap series is a quarterly offering of outdoor community protected napping, reflecting, and communing around rest. Our first Soul Nap was June 2, and the next will be September 22.
Soul Nap in June 2024 was a beautiful testament to the power of protected rest for those of us who find that our vigilance in this police state even follows us to bed. We are so grateful to the land, trees, human and more than human relations who protected our communal rest at the first Soul Nap.
We can’t wait for our next Soul Nap!
When: Sunday, September 22, 1-5pm
Where: Liberty pavilion, Druid Hill Park, Baltimore
Why: Our rest is sacred, and being in right relationship begins with remembering that we are held by the earth and each other. In an era when public rest is criminalized, we protest in solidarity with our kin experiencing houselessness. As we participate in collective rest and ritual, we are feeling and experiencing the world we are calling into being.
